An analysis of modern photometric data for R CrB allows to find an anticorrelation in the variations of average levels of visual and infrared lights with the characteristics time of more 8000 days: the increasing of the former on 0.15m corresponds to the decreasing of the latter on 0.5m. It is proposed to connect this anticorrelation with a variation of a mass loss rate. A model is constructed.
