We report on medium-resolution near-infrared spectroscopic observations
of the M5 super-giant binary that may be related to the Soft Gamma
Repeater SGR 1900+14. The observations were performed with CGS4 at UKIRT
and cover the wavelength range from 1.9 to 2.5 μm. .
