We report on the results of investigations of precise GRB localizations provided by the BeppoSAX and RXTE satellites. These positions have been investigated on deep sky plates taken by the UKSTU in Siding Springs, Australia. From the list of 20 triggers known in November 1998, 7 have been covered by these plates. Altogether 107 plates with limiting magnitudes between 19 and 23 have been investigated for optical activity related to these positions. No activity has been found. We will also show that the recently found relation of GRBs and star forming regions in distant galaxies could explain possible repetitions (from the same host galaxy, not from the same GRB) on the time scale of the order of tens of years (or more). In this scenario, optical transients found on archival sky plates close to some GRBs positions could be explained as recurrent events in the particular star forming region. .
