The relative intensities of the great red spot have been analysed for the time period 1963-1967 at 4300, 5500, and 6400 A using photographic plates. Periods of 6, 4 and 3 months were observed. Analytical relations representing these intensities have been calculated. Red spot relative intensities in red, blue and green are presented. Possible causes of the periodicities are discussed and it is concluded that these may be due to seasonal variations in Jupiter's atmosphere.
