The authors consider an increase in solar protons with energies 1 - 15 MeV which occurred on June 8 - 12, 1974. They show that the source of this increase was a solar flare on June 6 which injected solid cosmic rays into a system of quasistationary interplanetary looplike bottles. They analyze in detail the solar and interplanetary data, and approximate the solar cosmic ray data.
