An X-ray flux-limited sample of the brightest clusters above declination of zero and high galactic latitude (|b| > 20°) has been assembled from the ROSAT All-Sky Survey. The redshift follow-up of this sample is virtually complete and has identified a substantial number of clusters at redshifts above 0.2. The redshift follow-up is greatly helped by the presence of a dominant galaxy at the X-ray centroid of all but a few clusters.
