The authors describe some of the preliminary results obtained from the
IMP (Imager for Mars Pathfinder), APXS (Alpha Proton X-Ray
Spectrometer), and MAG (magnetic properties experiment) experiments that
pertain to the composition, mineralogy, and physical state of surface
materials and airborne aerosols.
