We use carbonate abundance in an SNC meteorite as a guide to the
carbonate abundances in the upper 7 km of Mars crust. This in turn is
equivalent to an atmosphere pCO2 of 2.3 bar >3.8Ga and total early
Mars CO2 inventory of 45 bar CO2.
