The interaction of the solar wind with the local interstellar medium (LISM) is attracting increasing interest, thanks to the possibility that the Voyager spacecraft may, in the not too distant future, cross the termination shock. This has spurred the development of increasingly sophisticated models which attempt to describe the large-scale structure of the heliosphere. In this review, we describe recent results obtained by a variety of groups engaged in modelling the large-scale interaction of the solar wind with the LISM. This includes 2D and 3D gas dynamic models, MHD models, and the role of interstellar neutrals.
