The existence of a miniscule flux of superheavy magnetic monopoles is predicted to accelerate the decay of all matter and the ultimate end of the Universe. It has been shown analytically that the cross section observed in a monopole-catalyzed nucleon decay is orders of magnitude larger than that obtained with normal hadronic cross sections. If a flux of 10 to the -21/sq cm per sr/sec is assumed, with monopoles having a virial velocity of 0.3 c, monopole lifetimes would be 2.5 x 10 to the 36 yr. It is projected that monopoles left over from the Big Bang could be stopped within Jupiter-sized objects, and captured within the earth and in stars. The trapped monopoles catalyze nucleon decay, causing mass loss which could, e.g., lead to a supernova condition for a neutron star. Objects with the longest lives are therefore small planets between superclusters, where the monopole flux is diluted.
