The apparent contradiction between the fact that there is a high correlation between a high speed stream and a coronal hole and the fact that the thermal structure of the coronal hole, based on X-ray, EUV and radio observations, does not support the thermally driven solar wind models may be solved by considering that a dynamo process around X-ray bright points in a coronal hole is partly responsible in accelerating coronal plasma away from the sun.
