Utilizing the instabilities of the boundary between disk and magnetosphere, a model for the flow of disk material into the neutron star's magnetosphere is constructed. It is shown that within a thin ring around the corotation radius, gas flows over. The gas is partly accelerated towards the neutron star producing the accretion partly outwards. In terms of this model, certain observed properties of pulsating X-ray sources are explained.
