In a closed universe, every physical system has a discrete infra-structure consisting of closely spaced (ΔE˜h 2/2mR2) energy eigen states. Basic physical principles such as the uncertainty relation as well as semi-empirical facts like the finiteness of the world age seem to exclude a detection of this structure.
