Alteration of martian basalt, T < 150oC, at high high rock/water will
yield: clay + carbonate + qz and near neutral pH water if CO2 = 6 Mbar;
and clay + serpentine + diopside, gas rich in H2, and alkaline water (to
pH ~12) if CO2 is not externally buffered.
