Many post-AGB stars are predicted to show compact discs less than ~ 100
AU in size. The VLT is uniquely able to trace these size scales, using
adaptive optics (NACO) and optical interferometry (VLTI). We here
report on observations of four such objects, showing direct detections
of these structures.
