Continuing controversy surrounds the interpretation of relativistic iron K lines in AGN. Broad emission is often present, but doubts remain as to whether complex absorption can account for the spectral curvature. Mrk 335 represents a key test case, in that it shows a broad, redshifted iron line but no evidence for ionized absorption. The sole remaining doubt is whether the broad line can be accounted for by neutral partial covering. We propose an orbit-length observation to determine this. Our second major goal is to confirm a redshifted absorption line indicative of relativistic inflow at 0.14c. This observation will help eliminate any remaining doubt over whether future generations of X-ray missions can exploit the potential of the iron lines as a probe of accretion physics and strong gravity.
