Power dependent radio propagation through a plasma (equivalent to about 20km of ionosphere) was measured under conditions suggesting a much faster plasma response than expected. A power dependent phase shift, and the spatial distribution of the power affected propagation are investigated. The spatial exploration confirms single point measurements, and results in a measurement of power dependent relative intensity. Findings are of importance to over the horizon radar.
