A two-hemisphere model for the three-dimensional magnetic structure of the inner heliomagnetosphere is used to determine the orientation of two solar magnetic hemispheres. Orientations during 1974 are presented and confirmed by satellite data for the interplanetary magnetic field, indicating a significant inclination of the sun's magnetic dipole axis to the ecliptic plane in 1974. The presence of a significant z component of the IMF leads to the possibility of field dependent cosmic ray streaming. It is shown that an enhanced solar diurnal variation in cosmic ray intensity at the earth can arise from the constructive interference of three cosmic ray anisotropies.
