In previous investigations we had analyzed the existence of static scalar hairy black holes and their corresponding solitons in asymptotically flat spacetimes, and found that the solitons can evolve to a hairless black hole or expand in a domain-wall like form. Here we review the main ideas of such findings and provide new features of the solutions.
