Fishman & Inan (3) reported on the detection of a rapid response of the Earth's ionosphere to a strong gamma-ray burst seen in the amplitude of a radio signal from a VLF transmitter in England which was monitored in Antarctica. I touch here upon the question whether in the natural kilometer radio emission of the Jovian system a similar transient signal could appear produced by a strong cosmic gamma-ray burst.
