We report the observations of the pure rotational lines of NH3 towards SgrB2(M). All lines are in absorption, the non-metastable lines being about a factor ten lower than the metastable lines. We discuss two possibilities: a) the non-metastable lines are radiatively pumped by the FIR source at 1 pc which illuminates a tenuous ( 1000 cm-3) and hot ( 400 K) gas or b) the non-metastable lines are collisionally pumped and originate in dense ( 105 cm-3) and warm ( 150 K) gas, whose column density is 6 ṡ 1015 cm-2.
