With the advent of the database GRDB, geometric objects can be subjected interactively to any algorithmic procedure. Given an entry in the database (e.g a metric), one might like to know, for example, if the entry is (say) necessarily a perfect fluid solution in general relativity. In this note I point out that degeneracies arise, so that reversing Einstein's equations leads to multiple inequivalent interpretations of a given ``exact solution''.
