AGILE is detecting during the last 48 hours enhanced gamma-ray emission above 100 MeV from a source positionally consistent with the blazar PKS 1510-089. Integrating from 2010-01-11 10:30 UT to 2010-01-13 10:30 UT, a quicklook maximum likelihood analysis yields a detection of PKS 1510-089 at a significance level above 5 sigma and flux above 300e-8 ph/cm2/s. The AGILE detection was obtained with the satellite observing in a spinning mode, surveying a large fraction of the sky every day.
