Radio pulsation periods have been determined for Cepheid models with enhanced metal opacity in the outer stellar layers, and the well-known period ratio discrepancies for double mode Cepheids and double mode Delta Scuti stars are studied in terms of the opacity revisions. It is found that the lower temperature bound of the enhanced region dictates the inclination of tracks for models representing double-mode Cepheids. In the region populated by double-mode high-amplitude Delta Scuti variables, the pulsation behavior is shown to be dictated by the upper temperature bound. It is noted that enhanced opacity is also an attractive solution of the mass anomaly for bump Cepheids.
