The gravity maps locally derived from the Pioneer-Venus-Orbiter (PVO)
and Magellan gravity Line-of-Sight (LOS) data present strong
correlations, but also some discrepancies. We analyze in detail the
probable origin of these discrepancies over a test region on Venus, the
Gula Mons zone. We also study te optimal merging of the two data sets.
