The characteristics of 20-200 MeV electrons and positrons in the radiation belt were investigated via magnetic spectrometer on the Salyut-7 station in 1975. Sharp increases in the particle counting rate were observed in the region of the Brazilian magnetic anomaly on September 10, 1985. It is found that there is a strong correlation between these increases (and hence the high-energy particle fluxes in the radiation belt) and the earth's seismicity.
