The nearby galaxy sample is extracted from the Third Reference Catalog of Galaxies (RC3; de Vaucouleurs et al. 1991, Cat. VII/155). The 626 ACIS observations selected for this survey include 83 ACIS-I observations and 543 ACIS-S observations. We have placed the 626 ACIS observations into 320 groups based on the proximity of the pointings. Observations are listed in table 2.
