The consequences of the colescence of two white dwarfs, following Roche-lobe overflow by the less massive component are examined. The luminosity of the thick disk, orbiting the primary, is calculated. Cooling of the primary-massive disk configuration, is insufficient to induce carbon ignition or collapse. Upper and lower limits to the time-scale of angular momentum transport in the disk are obtained and the possible final outcomes are discussed.
