An exact solution of coupled Einstein-Maxwell equations is reported which represents an equilibrium configuration of a spherical charged distribution of incoherent matter with a spatial section geometry identical with that of Vaidya and Tikekar's (1982) exact solution (VTS) of Einstein's field equations. This solution as a charged analog of VTS, serves as an interior source for Reissner-Nordstrom metric.
