Mapping and spectral analysis of M3 data has revealed high-Mg low-Ca
pyroxenes in the Montes Alpes on the northern border of the Imbrium
Basin. These noritic deposits are good candidates for excavated
KREEP-related, lower crustal Mg-suite pyroxenes.
