The probable structures for different types of sporadic-E are discussed
in the light of the measured polarizations of Es-echoes. The observed
polarizations clearly suggest a "thin layer" structure with a sharp
gradient for the semi-transparent type of Es which is of most frequent
occurrence at this low latitude station (Waltair).
