Using multi-spacecraft three dimensional energetic electron measurements, made by the RAPID/IES instruments on Cluster, we will investigate the distribution and evolution of tail plasma sheet electrons during disturbed periods. The IES is producing excellent data, and the four spacecraft configuration allows us to separate spatial and temporal features. In addition, the IES on Polar CEPPAD is essentially identical to the Rapid IES, so we are able to undertake coordinated measurements between 5 spacecraft. Beginning in July, Cluster began to make passes through the tail at around 19 Re. We will present case studies of events on 5 Aug 2001 and 15 Aug 2001, which show highly structured behaviour.
