A value of 18,000 km is accepted for the height of the emission of 9-cm solar radiation. Previous studies of the height of the 9-cm emission are reviewed, and measurements of a 9-cm emission region above a sunspot are discussed. The latitude and time dependence of the apparent heights of the 9-cm emission are also examined. It is confirmed that apparent height decreases with increasing latitude over the range from 9 to 18 deg. The time dependence of apparent height in the period from 1968 to 1971 is shown not to be an effect of solar activity.
