Satellite observations of high energy radiation originating from within the galaxy, especially from the galactic anticenter, have detected gamma-rays in energy ranges between 30 MeV and 10 GeV. Various sources of the gamma-rays are reviewed, including pulsars and cosmic ray interaction with interstellar dust. Attention is given to the gamma-ray source in Geminga, CG195+4, located in the galactic anticenter and producing high energy pulses over a period of 59 sec. It is suggested, however, that the actual period of rotation of the source may be as short as 6 milliseconds, i.e., a pulsar. Further studies of gamma radiation are encouraged, in an effort to understand the mechanics of cosmic radiation in general, and of neutron stars in particular.
