Limited data sets of ionosondes and magnetometers are assimilated into a regional model ionosphere and compared against independent data sets. Improvements in comparisons of model results with TEC measurements of TOPEX and insitu electron densities of the ROCSAT plasma probes demonstrate the value of even limited assimilation. Using the improve results from the assimilative regional ionosphere model predictions of the evening equatorial spread F conditions are attempted.
