Scientific paper

Propagation of solar flare protons detected by Kosmos-426 satellite instruments is discussed. A model providing a long-lived source of particles observable from the earth's environs: a jam-packed force tube generating a flare corotating with the sun - is proposed. The data on the two flares show different time variations of intensity at more or less equal distances from the sun-earth line of force. A diffusion model postulating uniform diffusion followed by isotropic diffusion, and accounting for rotation of a particle-filled centroid, is proposed.
