A numerical solution of the nonstationary kinetic equation for photoelectrons, Auger electrons, and secondary electrons formed during an X-ray burst is obtained. At the initial stage of scattering (t = 0.01 s) energetic Auger electrons escape the atmosphere that are primarily formed in the 300-400-km altitude range. Subsequently (on time intervals of 0.1 s) the flux of escaping electrons is sustained by low-energy secondary electrons and photoelectrons.
