We present a study of neutrino induced coherent pion and single photon production in high resolution, low density detector, such as the fine grained straw tube tracker (STT) proposed as the near detector for the LBNE project. These processes constitute a background for the NuE(bar) appearance measurements. The study uses analysis of these processes in the NOMAD experiment upon which the STT is based. We present methods of constraining backgrounds using data themselves. NOMAD results and sensitivities for LBNE are presented.
