The photographing of Jupiter from earth stations is discussed in relation to observations with the naked eye. The Voyager missions enhance research of Jupiter with color photographs free of atmospheric disturbance. Two cameras with different focal distances were used because of the varying sizes of the observed bodies. The transmission range of the camera filter extends from 345 to 620 nm, and different filters permit the examination of variations in the structure of the planet.
