The gravitational acceleration of the earth and the moon in the gravitational field of the sun were calculated as a test of General Relativity. Laser ranging measurements determined that the earth and moon's acceleration in the sun's gravitational field are equal to one part in 10 billion. The range oscillation amplitude of a frequency expressed as the difference between the angular frequency of the earth-moon system around the sun and the mean angular frequency of the moon around the earth was calculated to find the appropriate range Fourier amplitude to 15 cm accuracy. No disagreements were found with Newtonian predictions, implying that the gravitational self-energy of celestial bodies is a contributor to both the gravitational and inertial mass of the body.
