The UV spectrum of RR Pic was continuously monitored for 6 hours by IUE. The line spectrum is characterized by strong transitions of high ionization species. The intersystem lines are weak or absent. No P Cyg profiles are present. There is marginal evidence for the presence of coronal lines. After correction for reddening, the continuum can be represented by a standard disk power law. There are variations in the lines (factor of 5) and in the continua (factor of 1.5). The observed variations disagree with the behavior in the visible region. Probably these variations are not intrinsically phase related, but might be ascribed to transient phenomena or activity phases.
