The dehydration/hydration behavior of jarosite and of the hydrated
ferric sulfates kornelite, botryogen, and coquimbite, was analyzed by
X-ray diffraction methods up to 300ºC in vacuum. All three hydrous
sulfates began to break down at ~50ºC.
