Assuming that the Pati-Salam group SUL(2)×SUR(2)×SUC(4) breaks in the zeroth order of supergravity to SUL(2)×UR(1)×UB-L(1)×SUC(3) at a mass scale of M, it is shown that the subsequent intermediate scale of squeezing the two U(1)'s and the final breakdown to SUC(3)×UEM(1) occur at ξM and ξ2M, respectively, where ξ is a very small supergravity expansion parameter of the order of 10-8.
