A new design for a coaxial plasma accelerator discharge chamber is used to investigate the spectra of radioactive elements. A technique for exciting and identifying the technetium ion spectra is developed using the molybenum spectrum. In the 210-290 nm range, 880 molybdenum lines and 440 technetium lines were recorded. Relative Doppler-shift values were used to divide the spectral lines into groups corresponding to different charge species. It is found that similarly charged molybdenum and technetium ions have nearly the same velocity in the plasma jet.
