The statistical correlation between the large-scale solar magnetic field and the IMF sector structure is examined. It is shown that, despite a close interrelationship, there can be slight divergences between the two, connected with the inadequacy of their determination and the presence of short-term perturbations. A refined determination is made of the boundary-zone width between the beginning of the coronal hole and the boundary of the large-scale solar magnetic field; a value of 40-50 heliographic degrees is obtained.
