A global review of symmetric solutions to the two- and three-dimensional restricted problem and to the general three body problem leads to new symmetric periodic orbits of the two body problem. Using regularized variables, it is shown that the new orbits are 'trivially' continuable to symmetric periodic orbits of the three-dimensional restricted problem.
