Ocean, Interstellar Dust, Planet Formation

Scientific paper

The current study examines how often planets form with sufficient water. According to the standard scenario of planetary system formation, planets are the result of accumulation of interstellar dust. The dust consists of carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen mainly, which are in the form of variety molecule. In some circumstances, the dust has sufficient H_2O molecule. Importantly, for ocean to form in the Earth, we need very small fraction of H_2O in dust. Paying attention to this fact, we try to estimate how many plants with ocean there are in our galaxy. According to our temporal result, a few planets with ocean may be found in an open star cluster.
