With increasing interest in high energy astrophysical neutrinos and
particularly neutrinos near the upper end of the cosmic ray spectrum,
many new projects are underway in the attempt to initiate neutrino
astronomy beyond the solar system. We summarize some of the trends and
the initiatives.
