Measurements of the spin-flip line of 3He+ in the galactic H II regions W43, W51 and W3 are presented. The 3He+ data provide a column density; model calculations must be used to obtain the column density of H+. Preliminary values of the number ratio (3He+/H+) are given and possible sources of systematic error are described.
