Age determination techniques for relatively young star clusters are examined, with a focus on NGC 1866 in the LMC. The color magnitude diagram of NGC 1866 is compared to a grid of stellar evolutionary tracks generated with a modified Paczynski code, yielding an age estimate of 90,000,000 yr, judging from the red-giant distribution. Differences with regard to previous estimates are discussed in terms of the chemical composition and input physics.
